What Is our Affliliation?

We are affiliated with the Baptist General Conference

What Is Our History?

BBC was founded in 1952 as a church plant of Wooddale Baptist Church of Richfield, MN, now Wooddale Church, Eden Prairie, MN. We settled on our present campus in 1969. In 1962, we planted Berean Baptist Church, Burnsville, MN, and in 1978, our people helped plant Friendship Church in Prior Lake. BBC began its partnership with Bethany Academy, a K-12 Christian School on our campus, in 1995.

What Is Our Form Of Government?

The church is governed by Elders, its agenda is implemented by the pastoral staff, and the membership serves through ministry teams. All affairs of the church are held in account by the membership at its annual business meeting.

How Do I Become A Member?

Our adult Life Course entitled "Foundations" offers an opportunity to find out more about Bloomington Baptist and becoming a member. The class is offered every 13 weeks. If, after attending the class, someone expresses a desire to join, then an interview takes place with the elders, and upon an expression of faith in Christ, and adult baptism (or proof of such), prospective members are welcomed at a Worship Service.
