Ministry of Prayer

man prayingBBC is devoted to being a "house of prayer" where all things are done prayerfully and in dependence upon the Lord. We invite you to join us in the various kinds of prayer below in the hope of the promise of the Bible: For the earth will be filled with the knowledge of the glory of the LORD, as the waters cover the sea (Habakkuk 2:14).

House of Prayer

Wednesday evenings: 6:45 p.m. to 7:45 p.m.
This Spirit-driven, pastor-led time of worship and intercession is focused on praying with hope for the needs of our church, community, and beyond. The prayers of those gathered are valued as the driving force behind the movement of the Holy Spirit throughout our ministries.

Global Day of Prayer

man praying with outstretched armsWe participate in and give leadership to the Global Day of Prayer movement that is sweeping the world.  Patterned after Acts 1 & 2, this includes Ten Days of Constant Prayer leading up to Pentecost, the GDOP gathering and broadcast on Pentecost Sunday, and the 90 Days of Blessing that follows.

Prayer Room

A special room just outside the Worship Center is designated as a place devoted to passionately pursuing the purposes of God. The church offers seasons of 24/7 prayer with sign-ups for prayer times both day and night. One of the seasons is the Ten Days of Prayer prior to the Global Day of Prayer on Pentecost Sunday. The prayer room is also made available for special times of concentrated times of prayer. Worship resources and prayer guides are available.

Prayer Shields

Special prayer is devoted to the spiritual covering and protection of our pastors and leaders. We encourage members and attenders to commit to ongoing prayer for God's wisdom, guidance, and provision for our leadership. Some general prayer requests are:

  • Pray that our pastors and leaders will be devoted to the Lord Jesus Christ, with hearts of humility and purity before the Lord.
  • Pray that leadership will fervently seek the Lord and hear His voice clearly.
  • Pray that all decisions will be made under the guidance of the Holy Spirit.
  • Pray for protection and provision for our pastors and their families.
  • Pray that our pastors will have sufficient time to cultivate a growing intimacy with the Lord Jesus Christ, as well as be attentive to their families.
  • Pray that the Lord will equip our leaders with the gifts, strength, courage, and passion to walk in obedience to all that the Lord asks of them.

Prayer Chain

On occasions when prayer needs have a sense of urgency, there is an e-mail prayer chain available. To be placed on the prayer chain or to submit a request, contact the church office.
